How can I check Availability or Contact You?


We list our cottage on two rental sites.  They are listed below.  On each site there is an availability calendar you can reference to see if we are open for your desired dates.  

There is also a method to email us for additional information and to book the cottage.  Please click to contact the owner and fill in the required fields.  We will receive your request and respond as quickly as possible.


How Do I Book the Cottage? 

We will need to fill in our Rental Contract and send in your Deposit to secure your preferred dates.


Rental Contract:

Please email me for a copy of the contract.  You will be required to fill it in and return it by fax, mail or email to Vij Singh.  Details are provided on the contract. 


Rental Deposit & Payment:

We will expect 3 cheques upfront to confirm your dates at the cottage. 

E-Bank Transfers also accepted if you prefer.  We typically use the word "LAKEHOUSE" for E-transfers.

1.     The first cheque is for immediate deposit of half the total expense of the rental period.  Please date it today’s date and make it for half the rental amount.

2.     The second cheque is for the remainder of the deposit and it is due 30 days before you accept the cottage.  A post-dated cheque is fine.

3.     The third cheque is a security deposit of $500.00.  Once you have left the cottage in clean order and we have checked that all is in order, we will return this amount to you.

Who Cleans the Cottage?  You Do!


YOU DO. 

You are expected to leave the cottage thoroughly clean and in the same condition you found it. Cleaning supplies and a check list are provided. It will be inspected as soon as you depart, so that it will be ready for the incoming guests. Failure to do so will result in forfeiting some of your security deposit plus an administration charge.  A cottage cleaning check list is provided with the rental. 


Cleaning Services at the Cottage?

If you are interested in cleaning services, please let us know.  We have an excellent referral for you.  We have a cleaner who will clean all 4 bathrooms, including the 3 bathtubs, as well as vacuum and mop all floors in the house for an additional $100.

Even if you hire her, you need to leave all the bedrooms made up as you found them, the common areas clean, and the kitchen immaculate.  


If you do not hire her, you will be responsible to leave the entire house as clean as you find it on check in.  

If you have a large group or small kids with you, then we highly recommend you hire the cleaner as it is a very large house.



In the Summer:
Cleaning is NOT typically available on Saturday prior to check out.  There is a possibility she can come mid-week to assist you with your cleaning needs.

On Weekends:

Typically, she is available for all our weekend rentals - please give us as much advance notice as possible.

If you are interested, you can send payment along with your rental money and we will arrange for her to come and receive your payment.  

Arrival and Departure Times:


Unless otherwise agreed upon,

In the Summer:

Arrival is no earlier than 5:00 p.m. Saturday, and
Departure is no later than 2:00 p.m. the following Saturday

On Weekends:

Typically, you can check in anytime on Friday and depart anytime on Sunday.
This will be confirmed on your rental contract.

It is important to adhere to these times to allow us to check the property between rentals.   On departure, please ensure the property is left clean and in good order. This is the renter's responsibility.   Please refer to cleaning checklist found in the cottage.  If the cottage is not left in order, your security cheque will be cashed and cleaning or damage fees taken.

Cancellation Policy:


Any cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing addressed to Christy Pieroway.  On receipt of such notice of cancellation, we shall endeavor to re-book the cottage for the entire period of the original booking.  If we are able to re-book the cottage for the entire period of your reservation, we will refund all monies paid by the Renter, less a $75.00 cancellation fee.  If we are only able to re-book a part of the original reservation period, the Renter will be refunded a proportionate amount of the monies paid, less a $75.00 cancellation fee.  If we are unable to re-book the accommodation for any part of the original reservation period at all, then all monies paid by the renter will be forfeited.


When Do I Get the Keys?


We will send you the location of the keys prior to your arrival.  You will let yourself in and out.  You will need to return the keys to their original hiding spot upon your departure.
