I recently rented Christy and Vij's beautiful cottage for a long weekend with a group of girlfriends, and there are not enough nice things I can say about this place. Location: The cottage is very easy to get to from Toronto and sits on a beautiful and quiet lake. The roads are well-maintained, which is great for visits during any season. Decor: As a former editor at Style at Home, I've been in my fair share of beautiful homes and this cottage is straight from the pages of a magazine. The photos do not do it justice! The completely renovated cottage has an airy open-concept and neutral furnishings, yet feels so cozy at the same time. Amenities: Christy and Vij have gone above and beyond with the amenities at this cottage, offering everything you could possibly need {WiFi, wine fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher, air conditioning, TVs, DVD players, movies, board games, gas bbq, fire pit, kayaks, fishing gear}. Renting process: Absolutely seamless. Christy and Vij are very professional and have created a reasonable rental contract that covers both parties. The bank e-mail transfer system they use for payment is entirely safe and is quick and easy (who mails cheques these days?). I can't wait to return to this beautiful property!

This cottage is a true gem. The amazing pictures does not compare to how truly wonderful this place is. Everything from the little details of each room, to the grandeur of the beautiful lake, was absolutely perfect. Vij & Christy, thank you again for the memories!

It was truly more beautiful than the pictures. The gorgeous decor is absolutely breathtaking! Each room is designed with such taste and it is such an elegant cottage yet is so comfortable and cozy!. The soaring ceilings, stunning decor and the beautiful fireplace made it difficult to leave the cottage! The views of the lake from every room were amazing and the outdoor space was fabulous. Thank you to Christy and Vij for being such an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will absolutely be back for a future stay!

Everyone loved the gorgeous decor, the cleanliness and the beautiful lake. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, canoeing, watching movies, gourmet meals, long walks, trips to Lakefield and Peterborough, stargazing at night, roasting marshmallows......Thank you to Christy and Vij for being wonderful hosts and for sharing their small corner of paradise.
3. Magnificent Vacation Home!!

We wondered if this house was as great as the pictures portrayed on the web and what a delight when we pulled in July 3rd. We picked the hottest week and the air conditioned home proved to be a "God-send". We were 10 adults, three children and everyone was happy! Our biggest concern was the swimming availability for our grandchildren. With "water shoes" it was great- clear, warm, clean water. Our four year old granddaughter "Sarah" stood with a fishing net and caught fish as they swam around her. The "fisherman" in the group caught large mouth bass off the dock and we enjoyed fish chowder during the week! We had our own motor boat and the kids and adults enjoyed tubing all week. The lake was so serene and quiet all week long it was like we had our own private lake. The neighbors next door were an immense help from assisting us with the boat "in and out " of the lake to all kinds of information about depth, where to go, history of the lake, etc. The house itself was warm and cozy, some of the family enjoyed the downstairs family room to watch movies- some the great room- enough sofas for all of us and we all enjoyed the deck and the fire pit with all the Adirondack chairs. Thank you, Christy and Vij, for making our vacation with our entire family a most memorable week. We hope to return!!
4. Perfect cottage to share with another family.

Date of Stay: 07/10/10 Review Submitted: 07/13/10Our whole family (2 adult children and their spouses, 4 grandchildren ages 6, 5, 4, and 1) and 2 grandparents spent a glorious weekend at this beautiful cottage in July 2010.. The pictures really do not do it justice. It is a very well designed home which has been furnished and decorated with exceptional style and taste. The outside area is very nicely landscaped and the comfortable patio with Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows was a big hit with all generations. The waterfront is very kid friendly and kept all the older children busy collecting shells, etc. Water shoes are recommended. The water was comfortably warm and very clear with no weeds. The cottage comes with a canoe and a kayak. Our 6 year old grandson became quite proficient at paddling the stable, 10 ft Kayak in the immediate area. Truly a wonderful, family cottage with helpful and pleasant owners. This was an excellent experience. Thank you, Christy and Vij.

Date of Stay: 08/17/09 Review Submitted: 06/09/10My wife and I spent a week at this magnificent cottage for our honeymoon last summer and it was absolutely perfect! The pictures and description, although beautiful, do not do it justice. It's an absolute must! From the second you drive up to this welcoming paradise you will be speechless... and that's only the beginning. Once inside you will be blown away by the comfortable atmosphere, and cozy décor. It truly is IMPRESSIVE to say the least. We were able to get out on the water on a small boat and relax on the quite lake, utilize the massive kitchen, and just enjoy ourselves. Also, if you feel like you can pull yourself away from the cottage for a couple of hours, feel free to take a short drive into town and enjoy the small town enchantment, The cottage owners were completely helpful and offer a book of nearby attractions and events. They were also extremely pleasant to work with when making reservations.
6. Beautiful - Perfect Vacation!

We rented this lake house in January with three couples and the pictures don't do this place justice. It is beautifully decorated, right on the lake, and had everything we needed for a winter getaway. Booking with Christy and Vij was simple and they gave us a lot of great information about cross country skiing in the area. We had a great time - and we will definitely be back.
7. Amazing Cottage!!

My husband and I were looking to rent a cottage with 3 other
couples and we fell upon this listing. We all looked at the pictures, read the
description and said yes to this cottage. When we arrived Thurs afternoon, we
were all shocked...the pictures didn't do it justice!! This wasn't a typical
cottage...this was a home! It was beautifully decorated and everything was open
concept, which we all loved!! Vij & Christy were amazing with responding
back to emails/calls/texts whenever we had a problem (not that we did, just had
to let them know I accidentally broke a wine glass). They also let myself and
my sister to bring our small dogs! We all were in awe of how clean and spacious
this cottage was and how COMFY the couches and beds were (a couple of our
friends even said they had some of the best night sleeps at the cottage in a
long time!). We'll definitely be coming back in Sept!! Thank you Vij & Christy!
